Gibraltar Methodist Church

Welcome ] Up ]

The Gibraltar Methodist Church seeks to interpret the ‘Our Calling Priorities of the Methodist Church in a manner relevant to Gibraltar and its unique situation.

WORSHIP

The Church exists to increase awareness of God’s presence and to celebrate God’s love

Recognising our present role in providing a spiritual home to Christians from the World Church and across the denominational spectrum, the Gibraltar Methodist Church seeks to be flexible and imaginative in its liturgy and worship style, learning from others, and introducing fresh ways of worshipping and growing in the knowledge of God

LEARNING & CARING

The Church exists to help people to grow and learn as Christians, through mutual support and care

Recognising our unique privilege in being recognised and accepted by both the Mainstream and Evangelical churches in Gibraltar and the Campo, whilst remaining aware of our special responsibility to ‘our own people’ we seek to use our resources for the edification of the whole body of Christ, and the furtherance of Christian unity in the area

SERVICE

The Church exists to be a good neighbour to people in need and to challenge injustice

Recognising our historical role in the heritage and social development of Gibraltar we seek to continue that involvement in proclaiming the whole Gospel to the whole of society especially through works of mercy and care.

EVANGELISM

The Church exists to make more followers of Jesus Christ

Recognising our responsibility in fulfilling the Great Commission we seek to take advantage of every opportunity to spread the Gospel, not as a form of proselytism but as Ambassadors of Christ in an increasingly secular and hostile world

Minister: Revd. Fidel Patron
